FIGHT LIKE GEORGE - Heart Transplant Journey

Donation protected
Hello Foosball Fam!
One of our own (GEORGE GUZMAN) is in the hospital waiting on a heart transplant since February 14, 2025. George is such a great guy that would give the shirt off his back for any one of us. It was a complete surprise to hear he and his family are in this situation. After undergoing previous medical issues, we all were in hopes that he was on the road to recovery. George has always had such a positive outlook on life. There has never been a time you wouldn’t see a smile on his face.

George was close to home and had to be moved 3+ hours away. For his wife to be close, it will cost for pre-care and post-care. It’s very important to ensure George and his wife, Sharon Keever can be together through this process and allow them the opportunity to not have the concerns or worries of any costs that may occur during this time.

Sharon was able to visit daily the first month when George was an hour away. Now that George is 3 + hours away, she’ll only be able to visit on weekends. Being a caretaker during times like these and being a part is very stressful on both of them. Alan Montrone, reached out to Shaun and I last week. We rallied together to see how we could come together and help.

We have opened a GO FUND ME to help with costs they will accrue. Anything we can do to pull together and help Sharon & George with the cost that goes into battling the expenses they are facing and will face this year.

George’s heart is currently working at 30% and at the mercy of a pump that is pumping his heart for him; just to keep him alive until he receives his new heart. They are in hopes that this will hopefully happen in the next few weeks. The recovery process in this will create many expenses post-surgery as well. Our concern is not only pre-surgery, but the care and expenses after surgery. The bills are quickly adding up already.

Sharon & George are both disabled and make it through monthly on a fixed income. Anything extra becomes an expense that makes it hard for them to make it through. The travel costs of gas, lodging, food, etc adds up quickly. This takes away from their monthly income. Once George comes home, there will be additional costs as well. Many prayers there aren’t any complications, more expenses come with that as well.

If you would like to donate to George & Sharon, 100% of the monies collected will go towards all the expenses they will accrue pre & post-surgery that their insurance will not cover and allow them some sense of security for the next 6 months or so.
Let’s keep them in prayer and if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing!
