Fight Ohio Fascism: Help Gale Get Surgery

Anyone who is following current laws/legislation knows that Trans* healthcare is target #1 to be eradicated in conservative controlled states. Ohio seems to be taking this to the extreme and finding ways to make even the existence of Trans* people illegal.

Due to this, my dear friend Gale Simon needs to rush and get affirming medical procedures done as quickly as possible. However, insurance doesn't cover her needs (Shocked, I know...) so she needs to pay out of pocket. Despite a full-time job, there is no way she can come up with the money in time and is facing a costly personal loan.

She has always helped other and fought for people in the 15+ years I have known her. She has never asked for help... And still isn't, as I convinced her to let me do this on her behalf... But she needs it now.

The world is incredibly unsafe for trans* individuals even in "safe" states, and the further along she can get in her medical transition, the safer she will be. Especially as it becomes harder to access hormones and affirming healthcare. She is still in her early 30's, so she still very much needs these to feel like the person she knows she is inside.

Please, help us raise the money to secure even part of her safety in a state that sees her very existence as a threat. (And before people start saying she should move, that takes money as well, and she has family in the area that she is close to. Don't be that person.)
