Fight Childhood Cancer with Andrew

About six weeks ago my 11 year old nephew, Andrew started experiencing headaches so severe they caused vomiting. His mother, Sara got doctors involved immediately and he was diagnosed with migraine headaches. His symptoms continued throughout treatment so his mom became more persistent and doctors conducted a MRI on 12/20/2018, to find Andrew had a large tumor on his cerebellum - he was air-lifted to Children's Mercy in Kansas City, MO that same day for emergency brain surgery so the tumor could be properly  identified and removed.

The Children's Mercy medical staff quickly identified the tumor as a medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is a cancerous tumor, also called cerebellar primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) which starts in the region of the brain at the base of the skull, called the posterior fossa - this type of tumor tends to spread to other parts of the brain and spinal cord. The doctor completed the removal of the tumor and Andrew's condition is now stable. He will need to have chemo therapy radiation treatment as well as many additional medical follow-up appointments - He's got a long journey ahead of him which is why we are asking for your prayers and generosity.

Sara will not be paid for any of the time she misses from work to care for her child, her spouse is disabled and therefore has no income. With all the unpaid time-off, Sara is in danger of losing her house, leaving Andrew with no place to recover. I am requesting funds so that Sara can maintain housing, food, utilities and continue provide her son with proper care medical treatment. These funds will be put to immediate use so your generosity is truly appreciated.
