Bone Marrow Transplant..Sickle Cell Research

Our son Christian has Sickle Cell Disease type SS. He has been living all of his life with this disease.  He's 12 years old now. He has had many hospitalizations and surgery throughout the years.  He has been on monthly blood transfusions for the last 8 years due to the risk of having a stroke or a crisis. He has developed iron overload due to the chronic blood transfusions. He has been selected for a Bone Marrow Transplant Research program to cure his Sickle Cell Disease.  I am his  Bone Marrow Donor and Caregiver.  He will be hospitalized for 2 months and 100 days of recovery outpatient (appointments, testing, medication).Due to the circumstances I am unable to work during this time of transplant and recovery.  We also have his two brothers to care for as well. We have acquired some expenses (medical, medication, travel ,food,daily living) and would greatly appreciate any  and all donations .
