Fight to help 8 year old Monique Fuller leukaemia battle.
Donation protected
My name is Tunya, I’m writing on behalf of my cousin Chantelle, Monique’s mother.
Chantelle a married mother of two Monique (8) and Eli (7).
On the 6th of November Monique was taken to hospital by her mum, 8 year old Monique was recovering from Covid after 2 weeks of being sick. Chantelle noticed that Monique had started deteriorate and began to worry.
After hours of testing Monique was transferred to Westmead children’s hospital where they were given the terrible news that their daughter had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Monique’s parents have been told that Monique will undergo 2 years of treatment starting immediately.
2 weeks prior to Monique’s diagnosis Chantelle lost her job, which is has impacted the family.
The timeframe of Monique’s stay in hospital is yet to be determined, however we know that initially she won’t be able to go home for a few weeks to undergo intensive chemotherapy and then will need to regularly return for treatment. The family does not live near the hospital and Chantelle does not drive. Monique’s fragile state means that she can’t be on public transport as her immune system is compromised.
Unfortunately they do not qualify for the Ronald McDonald House has they don’t meet the distance requirements to be eligible to stay.
The funds will be used to assist with transportation to and from the hospital in urgent instances when Monique is unable to be driven to the hospital by her dad.
Any amount big or small will be greatly appreciated by the family.
