Fight Tyranny and Police Corruption

My name is Josh Wright. On September 19, 2022 I was bullied and unlawfully arrested by members of the Brunswick (Maine) Police Department. They abused their public trust, violated my constitutional rights, and arrested me for refusing to comply with their unlawful orders to identify myself. No crime was committed. I was a backseat passenger, eating my lunch before returning to work.
I posted the video footage of this incident on YouTube to share my story. The link to the video is found below. In the video what can be seen is a systemic failure in policing, a culture of corruption that is perpetuated by training new hires to lie about legal justification, use threats and intimidation, violate constitutional human rights, and escalate a situation to the point of assault and kidnapping. The legal definitions of those crimes are not dependent on whether a person wears a badge or not.
“Tyranny is the exercise of some power over a man, which is not warranted by law, or necessary for the public safety.”
― Noah Webster
I have been encouraged by members of the public to create an opportunity for others to support my case and the cause of justice. I have incurred legal costs to secure an attorney to defend myself against an illegitimate criminal charge. There will be more resources required as I take steps to demand accountability and action from the courts, the Brunswick Police Department, and the Town of Brunswick Maine
I intend to fully exercise my rights and civic responsibility to ensure a more secure democracy for all of us. Thank you to all who support my case, our constitutional rights, and the cause of justice. Please join me in fighting the tyranny and corruption that is destroying the fabric of our democracy.
