Fight with Bruce (The Drummer)

Hi this is Trisha and Shannon. We are starting this fundraiser for our step-dad Bruce Johnson and our mom Jana Carr. Last week we were all devestated by the news that he has liver cancer that also has spread to his nymph nodes, femur, and through out his abdomen.

Everyone that know Bruce and Jana also know that they are the sweetest most giving people they have ever met. This duo would give anything they had to help someone in need and do everything in their power to bring joy to those around them. They both always have a smile on their faces and never have met a stranger.

Bruce's passion is music which lead him to to become an amazing drummer. He has played in several bands over the years and currently plays in 2 bands (The Bucket Band and Faded Stranger). If you have never seen him play Wipe Out you defiently should, he will amaze and amuse you with his excellent skill; it is definately something you will never forget.

When he isn't marching to the beat of his own drum he is helping out with his church or delivering supplies to those who have the need. You will find him putting bandaids on boo-boos, putting lavendar oil on the headaches and making sure the well-being of his family and friends are firm at hand. This man is a papa to over 10 grandkids...closer to 20! All of whom love him to the ends of the world and think he is pretty kick butt with his light up drum sticks!

With the news of this horrible disease there is the worry of medical expenses, loss of wages due to the inability to continue working, travel and time off for treatment (as his family has made it their top priority to stick it to cancer), and the never-ending mental, physical, and monitary stress that the "C" word causes people all over the world.

These two are our world and the need to do whatever we can lead us to this place of outreach to family, friends, neighbors, anyone that know them...heck even those who may not but want to...we are a family that tends to adopt our family members on this journey we call life.
