Family and friends, the Scruggs family could really use some help.
As a constant supporter and philanthropist when given the opportunity, I could not be more unsettled to be saying that at this time, Dominic needs our help with his own journey.
Dominic has been diagnosed with High-Risk Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After having issues with his chest pain and swallowing and being misdiagnosed with a respiratory infection, I prompted him to get a second opinion. On October 18th, he was forwarded to the emergency room from urgent care where it was discovered that he has a sizable mass in his chest. After undergoing a round of tests and a final biopsy, his pathology results confirmed cancer. A treatment plan is in place for Dominic to receive aggressive chemo where he will be treated for at least the next three months, as his cancer has spread and needs to be treated as soon as possible.
Dominic is a proud father of 2 that he works tirelessly to provide for. While still employed, the risk of working during a pandemic with the public is a great risk that will have to be minimized with partial remote work when able. This fundraiser will help alleviate the pressure of current and future expenses that his family will incur while fighting this disease during one of the most unique times imaginable.
In addition, we ask that you pray for his mental strength, total physical restoration, and strength for his family and supporters to get through the challenges ahead of them.
