Fight with Filer

Always Fighting! David Filer is a fierce competitor on the court and off, with his newest opponent being brain cancer. On February 15th, 2022, David was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The Midwest tennis families are praying and supporting David Filer in his fight with cancer and we are asking you to join us. 

David is a kind-hearted, respectful, determined 15-year-old boy whose passion is tennis. He is a top-ranked national junior tennis player with the goal to someday turn pro.

With David's extreme determination, he will beat this cancer but needs your love and support to get through this tough time. David's loving parents, Pam and David Sr., are seeking out treatment options for him to defeat this cancer once and for all. 

The Midwest Tennis families have joined together to create this Go Fund Me account to ease the financial burden this has placed on David and his family. Please show your support for David by contributing to this fund to help them through this difficult time. 

David was once down a set, 0–5, 0–40 and told himself, " I am not going to lose this match, ” and came back and won! This determination will help him "ace" his new cancer competition, but he could also use your help in his biggest match. Thank you!
