François is a warm, compassionate and caring man. His gentle demeanor makes him a fast friend to all he encounters, especially children whom gravitate to him despite his grand stature. François enjoys working hard no matter the task, whether at his job maintaining facilities or in his garage restoring classic cars.
In September 2015 François was diagnosed with kidney cancer which would later spread to his liver, lungs, stomach and blood in the form of clear cell carcinoma. He has since undergone surgery to remove a kidney, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He is currently undergoing IPI/NIVO treatments as chemotherapy is no longer a viable treatment option.
François is a person that prefers to give rather than receive, relying on others for financial assistance is a foreign subject to him. Due to the challenging circumstances in his life he now needs to be the recipient of the generosity he loves to give so freely.
François is an amazing friend and son, who above all else puts others first. Despite his battle with cancer he has found the strength and will to care for his aging mother who still lives with him.
As this is a very wearisome time for Francois, we as his friends ask that you please help support François by raising funds to help assist with treatment costs and ease the stress and financial pressures he faces with this challenge.
We thank you in advance for your support, all funds raised will go toward treatment costs, travel, accommodation and financial shortfalls due to being on sick leave. Most importantly it will help in reducing his burden in order to conserve the energy needed to focus on recovery.
