There are no amount of comforting words to take away from the stress the Ewoldt family is enduring as their identical twin baby girls have been diagnosed with 'Twin-twin transfusion syndrome' because the babies share a placenta. This means that abnormal blood vessel connections have formed in the placenta and is causing the blood to flow unevenly between the babies.

Jade and Wes will travel to the Fetal Care Clinic in Cincinnati to determine if they are a candidate for a procedure consisting of cutting the blood vessel(s). Without the surgery there is a 10-15% chance of survival. This is the deciding factor in how long they will need to be in Ohio and how they will go about moving forward.

A majority of mothers having this surgery go into labor roughly 10 weeks after which means Jade will need to be on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy.  Although we are all praying for success, they will still have a long road ahead of them financially, mentally, and physically to keep these babies healthy. They're going to need every bit of the 'small community love' we have to offer!

All donations made to the GoFundMe page will go towards medical care, travel expenses and lost wages as Wes will need time off of work to care for the kids as this beautiful mama recovers and gets plenty of rest for her babies.
They are in our prayers with each day that passes.
