What else are we here for other than to help one another. We have made this gofundme on behalf of our dear friends/who are like family- Marcus and Abbie Pesquera & their sweet unborn baby boy... KOA. [koh-uh]Early in Abbie’s pregnancy, the anatomy scan of Koa’s body was showing one kidney dramatically larger than the other, and at one point was weighing more than Koa’s body. Her OB doctor had never seen a case like this so he sent her to a OB specialist in Los Angeles, who was also baffled and had never seen a pregnancy like this & they are very concerned for Abbie’s life & this precious unborn baby. Weekly from 28 weeks on she has been receiving steroid shots to develops Koa’s lungs, incase of an emergency C-section delivery. Since 32 weeks of her pregnancy she has been undergoing amniocentesis procedures to drain her stomach fluid and fluid in Koa’s stomach from his kidney. For the past week Abbie has been staying in Los Angeles under careful watch from her specialist doctor & still receiving amnio high risk procedures to drain fluid from baby Koa and will have to continue to do so until delivery. Koa has a very long road ahead of him. Minimum of 2 to 3 months in the NICU- & from the prediction of the OB/GYN specialist he will need to undergo immediate surgery after birth and plastic surgery in his abdomen in the near future.We ask for PRAYER for this sweet baby boy. & if you find it in your heart to help support financially during this time-please do! Anything will help. Hospital & hotel stays & unknown hospital expenses should be the least of their worries at this time. This is such an overwhelming situation for Marcus & Abbie and their two children (Emilia age 5 & Levi age 3) and we would love to lift some burdens off of their shoulders. Again we ask for your prayers for this precious baby and his parents during this time. It’s truly excruciating to see this family endure such a hard trial and we cannot just sit back and do nothing.
