Our 3 Year old, smart, energetic and caring Bryson who can’t get enough of popsicles, loves to play basketball, have nerf wars and to dance along with his sisters and cousins on 1/17/2020 suddenly started to experience severe pain when urinating initially doctors thought the irritation, pain and discomfort were only temporary and would eventually subside. However, this was not the case on 1/24/2020 he was taken into the Emergency Department due to his pain progressing and becoming unbearable! During his visit he was given an ultrasound finding a 2cm mass on his bladder which changed everything!

Shortly after the doctor’s findings Bryson was admitted for further testing and pain control which could not be managed at home. Countless test were done including ultrasounds, bladder Scans, blood Work, sedations, MRIs, echocardiogram, EKG’s and a biopsy to find out what type of mass was causing him so much pain and discomfort. On 02/11/2020 Bryson was diagnosed with a rare form of Pediatric Life-Threatening Cancer Called IMT (Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor) of The Bladder! Bladder Cancer!

His treatment plan includes an indefinite period of targeted chemotherapy twice daily until surgery can be safely preformed after the shrinkage of his tumor which has grown up to 4cm.

Update - As of 5/1/2020 Bryson has now successfully finished almost three rounds of Chemotherapy! (Yay! Despite how difficult It Is for him to receive it and keep it down!) After the 1st round of chemo his tumor shown to have shrunk a little but as of his latest ultrasound and second round of chemo it appears that there was no shrinkage and appears to have in fact increased in size.

As anyone could imagine this has totally took their family by storm and has changed things drastically in their lives. As his mom had just resigned from her job and took a leap of faith to start her real estate career, she now stays at home to care for him fulltime with the help of dad who has been juggling caring for him as well as decreasing his work schedule with his income being the sole provision for a family of six to avoid exposing Bryson to any viral Illnesses due to him now being immunocompromised from chemotherapy.

Therefore, this account was established by their family to help with Bryson’s needs and rewards for being consistent and not giving up on his treatments! Also, for some financial assistance to maintain their livelihood while still having some sense of normalcy for their family during this trying time.

We thank and appreciate each and every one of you and ask that you continue to keep Bryson and his good spirits in your prayers as we continue to keep fighting!
