Help My Mom Fight Cancer

Hello, my name is Lee! I'm a freelance artist that works from home, and I am currently seeking out another job. I live with my mother and my sister in income-controlled housing. Mom is a school bus driver for the county public schools, and my sister works at the local veterinary hospital as a kennel tech.

Unfortunately, my family and I need your help. Two years ago, Mom had a lumpectomy to remove a lump in her breast, which turned out to be cancerous, and at the time the doctors felt confident that they removed all of the cancer. On September 28th, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer - Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma, Stage 2 - which needs further surgery and treatment. A lumpectomy is scheduled for October 20th, after which they will be doing genetic testing to see if Mom needs further treatment - it's possible she may need to have a mastectomy or undergo chemotherapy. As you can imagine, the stress of her diagnosis as well as her impending surgeries and recovery has put a strain on our finances. Everything raised will go towards expenses while my mother is out of work during her treatment. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
