Fighting cancer and nowhere to call home

Hello, my name is Shaun, and I am the son of Shona Brandon. I'm reaching out to share our family's story in the hope that someone out there might be able to offer assistance during this incredibly challenging time.

Currently, my mother is battling bowel cancer. The journey has been exceptionally tough as she and her partner were forced to leave the house they were living in with her father, who suffers from dementia. Tragically, we lost my grandmother to bowel cancer not long ago. Following the passing of my grandfather, the family had no choice but to sell the house, leaving them with nowhere to go except for a small van they managed to purchase with what little money they had left.

Despite numerous attempts, they've been turned down for rental accommodations over 100 times. Consequently, they find themselves living in my stepfather's parents' backyard, along with their two dogs. They don't even have a car to get to essential doctor and hospital appointments. All my mother truly needs is a place to call her own, a sanctuary where she can focus on her health and well-being.

We've exhausted every avenue in our pursuit of a solution, but to no avail. Watching my mother spiral further into depression with each passing day is heart-wrenching. I feel utterly helpless in the face of her suffering, knowing that a stable home could make all the difference in her recovery journey. If anyone out there can offer even a glimmer of assistance, no matter how small, I would be eternally grateful. I know my mother would too, although she's far too proud to ask for help herself.
