Undercover police officers, disguised with wristbands of the festival, were present inside the festival and in a case of mistaken identity, they arrested me, even though I had only a small amount of drugs for personal use, an amount not indicative of producing or dealing. Despite cooperating fully, I'm facing severe charges that threaten my future.

The Ordeal:

- I was kept in jail for five days without the possibility of contact with anyone.

- My passport and cellphone were confiscated by the police, preventing me from leaving Albania and returning to my life, work, and friends.

- My room was searched revealing no evidence of drug dealing.

- The Kala Festival did not offer any support during this ordeal.

- I was informed by the private security company hired by Kala that the embassy would be contacted and a translator would be provided, but none of this happened.

- As a result, I could not understand what was written in the police report and was forced to sign something I did not understand and that was not true.

- The police report inaccurately states that I tried to flee from the police and that drugs were found on me. In reality, I cooperated fully with the authorities and voluntarily handed over the small amount of drugs I possessed when asked if I had something on me.

Impact on my Life:

My work permit in Germany, where I have a valid job, is now at risk due to these false accusations in Albania. If I cannot return to Germany soon, I may lose my job and residence permit, jeopardizing my livelihood and future. Working in Albania is not viable due to the low income in Albania and my detained documents.
