Fighting Felony Marijuana Charges

Hi! My name is Ethan Crane, ie The Magician. I am an entertainer, bartender, and carpenter that is facing a pair of felony Marijuana charges.

This combination of circumstance and severe penalty forced me to retain a lawyer and borrow extensively from my family to be bonded out of jail so that I could begin some sort of legal defense.

I have not yet had a chance to even begin thinking about my case, in order to comply with the court’s demands I had to find local residency (a trailer lot, at $500/month) begin probation/gps monitoring/drug testing (roughly $500/month +plus initial fees around $500) and also check in with my bondsman ($5,500). Because I am unable to travel, I was forced to forfeit all future work and find local a occupation. I will be waiting tables, working with a construction company, and live-streaming magic shows… but have quickly realized that there is simply no way to afford this without help, much less begin paying back my family for their financial support that has already left them in desperate shape.

I am not good at asking for help, and have exhausted every effort to raise the money without asking for charity; but at this point I am forced to recognize that this is not a mountain that I can climb alone. I am hoping to raise $55,000 which will allow me to recover financially.

I don’t sell drugs. I don’t manufacture drugs. I have had to uproot myself and my career, pushed deep into poverty under extreme duress, and am asking for help because I have no other choice.
