Fighting for Dad: Help Brian Heal and Hold On
Donation protected
Hi, we’re Aimee, Jess, and Maxx—the children of Brian Handy. We’re reaching out to ask for your support during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced. Our dad is currently battling cancer for the third time, and while he has shown incredible strength and resilience, the toll this has taken on him—both physically and financially—is overwhelming.
After deciding against the treatment options available in the U.S., our dad made the courageous decision to seek advanced, life-saving care in Mexico. The treatments he’s receiving are not available here, but they come at a high cost. Between the ongoing expenses of international treatment, travel, and the medical bills piling up back home, our parents have exhausted their savings and retirement funds.
Unfortunately, the financial strain has left them unable to keep up with basic living costs, including property taxes, and will leave them depleted for the remainder of their retirement. In a desperate attempt to make ends meet, our parents are facing the heartbreaking reality of having to sell their home to access some of the equity they’ve worked their whole lives to build.
Our dad deserves to focus on his health, not on the constant financial pressure that’s threatening to overwhelm him and our mom.
We’re asking for your help to ease the financial burden during this challenging time. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering medical bills, property taxes, and other expenses as we try to keep our dad’s focus where it needs to be—on getting better and fighting for his life.
If you’re unable to donate, we would be incredibly grateful if you could share this page with others or send your thoughts and prayers. Your support means more than words can express as we work together to support our dad through this fight.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for your generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
With deepest gratitude,
Jess Gibson, Aimee Postel & Maxx Handy
