Fighting For Eric

Many of you know that for the last 5 years I have been battling Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. I got diagnosed in April of 2015 and unfortunately my treatment has not gone according to plan. Originally the doctors thought I would be in remission within one year, however that has not been the case. At this point we have exhausted all chemotherapy treatment options (I have been on all 5 chemo pills in 5 years). Within the last few months my numbers have started to really trend in the wrong direction and with my doctors recommendation a bone marrow transplant is the next course of action so I am now preparing to start that process. Due to the nature of my cancer and starting the transplant process, I have had to stop working and will be unable to do so for the foreseeable future. The transplant process can be a very long, grueling journey. I have applied for state disability but was told it can take 4-6 months for approval. As hard as it is to ask for financial help, Jenna and I have decided to give this a shot as we are feeling quite overwhelmed with becoming a one income family right now until my disability kicks in. Any money received will go towards my medical bills, help with our regular bills, and any other expenses that may arise during this. We cannot thank everyone enough for the continued support as we go through our journey with this ugly illness.
