Fighting For Her Life-Love & Support for Elizabeth
Donation protected
On the night of November 13th, Elizabeth and her husband went to Lethbridge Regional hospital to deliver a beautiful baby boy.
On November 14th Elizabeth was discharged from the hospital, and her husband drove her and the baby home. It was a full day of happiness cherished by mom, dad, and 7-year-old big brother and little did they know of the tough road that lay ahead.
After the first night at home, Elizabeth suffered from a seizure and the ambulance was called and she was rushed to the hospital. She suffered from a blood clot in her brain and was transferred to the Calgary foothills hospital, where she fell into a coma and has been in the intensive care unit ever since fighting for her life.
Close friends of the family are looking after the new baby and older brother, while Elizabeth's husband, Jacques, remains by his wife's bedside, waiting for her to wake. He comes back to Lethbridge on weekends to visit and help with their two boys, and returns to Calgary during the week.
Elizabeth's 7 year old son has written a letter to Santa asking for no toys this year but to have his mom home for Christmas instead. Your prayers, thoughts and good will are helping in more ways than one.
Any donation is very much appreciated and will go towards the family's expenses and any incurred expenses coming their way. Please help lighten the load and burden of this family's unexpected tragedy.
Updates will be posted as more information is known.
