Justice 4 Jessica - Children Education Fund
Donation protected
On April 6th, 2019 Jessica Nicole Alva passed after being in a coma for 4 days, as a result of an abusive domestic relationship. Jessica just turned 35 on January 19th and was in the prime of her life.
Jessica gave life to 6 beautiful children who are now Brianna(18),Cindia(13), Sarah(12),London(10), Alana(8) and Anthony(7).
The children and the family have not received the death support funds due to them and are struggling to make ends meet. We are raising funds to help provide for the children, from basic necessities like clothing, education, and food to therapy/counseling to help them process their traumatic loss to small things that every child should be able to enjoy, like birthday gifts and school sports. After their mother’s death, the children have had to be split up. One of Jessica’s sisters, who has 4 children of her own, has taken in two of Jessica’s children! One of the children is with their grandmother, one has been adopted by Jessica's Brother, and the other two remain in the foster-care system. There have been issues and hold-ups in funding, and the children have not received any support from the victims funds promised to them at the time of their monthers passing. All funds raised were spent on relocation and expenses for Jessicas funeral services. During these trying times, it has inceased the hardships exponentially for the families and any additional support is desperatelyneeded..
The children lived in a violent household and have now experienced the murder of their mother, and they will need grief counseling, therapy, and spiritual support to help them process these traumas. They will also need funding for transportation costs, the kids are very close and now will need to travel to be able to see each other. Beyond this, they need and deserve funding for everyday things -- school books, birthday gifts, sports equipment, and new clothing.
With the rest of the money, we are hoping to set up a Trust for the children, to put away money for their future, so her children may experience a life full of opportunity and wonder. No amount of funds will ever ease the pain and loss, but it is a gift that when used will remind them of their mother’s love and what she was able to pass on to them. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let us remember #justice4Jessica.
