Fighting for My Health - Help Me Get an MRI

My name is Stacy Siverio and I've been living with a debilitating mystery illness since November 3rd, 2024. Every day is a struggle as I face a range of terrifying symptoms:

Widespread Numbness: I experience numbness in my face, hands, fingers, both arms, hips, vagina, buttocks, both legs, feet, and toes.

Uncontrollable Muscle Spasms: My muscles spasm uncontrollably in my arms, legs, and stomach.

Neck Pain: I'm unable to turn my neck without experiencing pain.

Tremors and Shaking: My hands tremble constantly, making it hard to write, eat, and perform basic daily tasks.

Extreme Weakness and Fatigue: I feel incredibly weak and heavy, making walking a significant challenge.

Loss of Bladder Control: The numbness in my pelvis sometimes leads to unexpected loss of bladder control.

Deep Aches and Pains: I experience deep, throbbing aches in my arms and legs that are both debilitating and exhausting.

Intense Fatigue: I'm constantly fatigued, regardless of how much sleep I get.

Tingling and Itching: I experience persistent tingling and itching, particularly on my face.

These symptoms come and go in unpredictable cycles, sometimes lasting for days or even weeks, only to return worse than before.

I've sought medical help, but unfortunately, my neurologist dismissed my concerns, attributing my symptoms to stress and suggesting only non-invasive treatments like walks, cold showers, and a low-inflammatory diet (which I have implemented). She refused to order any imaging tests, leaving me with no answers and no path to proper diagnosis. I've tried physical therapy for my neck pain, but it has provided no relief.

I'm terrified that my condition is something serious, possibly even multiple sclerosis. I desperately need an MRI of my Brain and Cervical Spine to get a proper diagnosis and begin appropriate treatment before my condition worsens.

Unfortunately, my insurance has denied coverage for the MRI of my Brain and Cervical Spine. The cost of the exams is $506 out-of-pocket for the Cervical Spine MRI, and $499 out-of-pocket for the Brain MRI, a significant expense that I cannot afford on my own.
