Fighting Glioblastoma Cancer with Kevin Muldoon
Donation protected
On May 7th Kevin collapsed in his backyard and went into seizures. He was transported by ambulance to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He had several tests run and was diagnosed the next day with Rhabdomyolysis. At this point in time he was close to kidney failure and had pneumonia. He continued having seizures which resulted in an MRI being completed. Unfortunately this resulted in devastating news. The Doctors found that Kevin had a brain tumor located in the back left center of the brain, surgery was scheduled for the following Monday. When the surgery was conducted it was determined that it was grade 4 Glioblastoma, which is very aggressive and the deadliest brain cancer known today. They removed as much of the tumor as possible but this cancer has tentacles that spread throughout the brain that are not able to be removed surgically. Current prognosis is 12-18 months. He is currently scheduled for an appointment with a well known Oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa to determine the best treatment plan.
With this fundraiser we are hoping to help with hotels, medication, hospital and Doctor costs not covered by insurance, loss of income due to treatment schedule and other costs that may arise during his treatment. This is a very costly diagnosis and any help is appreciated. It would help to release some stress and anxiety of living with this cancer diagnosis. Marcia and Kevin have always been generous in helping others, now it is our turn to assist them as they attempt to find a way forward with this diagnosis. We are praying for the best and not giving up hope as miracles happen every day and it only takes one.
