Hello, I’m Tara! I’m a loving mother, wife and grandmother who is bravely battling stage 3 breast cancer and it’s been a very long journey already. At 50 years old, I’ve already undergone 3 surgeries and faced the challenges of chemotherapy, I finally transitioned to receive mu radiation therapy and I’m having to temporarily live in the city where my oncology center is for a min of 6-8 weeks depending on the severity. Funds are needed to help them with meals, transportation services (her insurance will not cover transportation while there) and for everyday living expenses for those 6-8 weeks. My journey has been incredibly difficult, with 7 hospital stays and the need to discontinue chemotherapy due to its impact on other organs, this being why the radiation treatments are so critical. Despite the obstacles, I try to stay determined to fight and overcome this illness with the love and support of her family.

Unfortunately, the unexpected loss of one of their insurance plans has created a significant financial burden for me and the family. With the added strain of everyday living expenses and the need to cover the costs of the copays for my treatments, we are facing a difficult and overwhelming situation. With a child still at home going thru college we are doing everything they can to provide the best care for our family.
