Picking up the pieces, finding their voice

Donation protected
I’m Sarah helping my friend and her son pick up the pieces from unimaginable and unbelievable display of gross misuse of power by Arizonas Department of Child Safety.

Jessica and Eliron were living under a government approved address protection program due to safety concerns, fear and trauma imposed on them over the course of a 7 month nightmare when Eliron was wrongly, and deceptively removed by AZ DCS in April of 2020, he was 8 years old. (I'll add a letter written by his grandma in 2020)

The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) has a known and deep rooted history of deceptive, wrongful and problematic tactics for removing children, but don’t take my word for it. Google them.

As you read keep in mind Eliron was an active and happy carefree child beaming with the kind of trusting, and fun loving innocence you feel when you’re safe, loved and cared for by your mother and family. Until his life was turned upside down.

That CASE was DISMISSED Nov 2020. A required investigation prior to legally removing “any” child was never performed. Eliron lives with medical issues and a simple inquiry by the investigator with her sons pediatrician, his team, his school, or anyone who knows them would have ended this nightmare without question before it began, sparing Jessica and Eliron lasting and painful trauma.

It would be noted through interviews and testimonies that a fabricated and false petition was created and presented to a judge in an effort to remove Eliron. Logic, ethics, and common sense were ignored with unapologetic arrogance. They were in the fight for their lives. DCS claimed Medical Child Abuse and were grooming Eliron for adoption. No questions asked. They wanted nothing to do with his Grandma.

October 24, 2023. In an insensitive and cruel move with complete disregard for Elirons fragile emotional well being, and all the progress he made moving on from previous ordeal, the state of Arizona found their home and repeated their actions and removed Eliron with the exact same deceptive tactics as before.

Though Jessicas attorneys swift actions foiled the plot it came with yet another emotional and mental blow to Eliron and Jessica during those two weeks. Jessica had a plethora of support. Eliron again was alone and isolated unsure of tomorrow. His only contact was his own lawyer.

This time a petition to the judge claimed Eliron was in imminent danger for his life and filed for an emergency removal of him. Terrified, Eliron reached for his phone with no success as a DCS employee was taking him away from his school. He was separated from his mom and cut off from his loving family, again.

In less than 48 hours in the states care, a DCS worker gave Eliron medication intended for someone else (he was to get none) and he became lethargic and unresponsive by the time he got to the hospital. Poison control was called and Eliron spent the night in PICU. He was terrified, and very much wanting his mom. He didn’t ask for her because he said “my mind already knew the answer” He was fast becoming victimized again by the state of Arizona.

A little back story. In January 2023 DCS contacted police to investigate Jessica for medical abuse. In Sept 2023 they closed out their investigation. No abuse. An unsatisfied DCS then hired an out of state phycologist phd who also found no abuse. But in the emails to DCS she listed what she would need in order for her to give them a written diagnoses of medical child abuse.
With a confidence of control and superiority the DCS employee cherry picked through old erroneous info from prior DCS notes (not factual documentations) and sent them to this psychologist (with absolute disregard of the knowing truths right in those files written in black and white, let alone court transcripts and a dismissed case) Psychologist didn’t question anything, not even as to why Eliron went back home in 2020. She returned a report to back up their narrative FDIA. She was paid $2500.00 to turn their lives upside down.

It was blatant and obvious misinformation but unfortunately once DCS has their claws in you? There is a legal process of court hearings to go through before you are set free.

By now you're thinking this makes no sense… It is without question a plot that movies are made of. Stirring feelings of gut wrenching emotions, and having no control beyond comprehension.

Jessicas attorney filed an emergency custody hearing. What started with DCS petitioning the court for that emergency removal of Eliron due to imminent danger, vying for a case of dependency in hopes of keeping him in the system, backed down before the actual hearing. They sent him home because he was in fact safe with mom. There is still more to do in an effort to get DCS out of their lives.

This story has been a test of their family's strength. Of Eliron's Survival, and of Jessicas fierce determination to stuff down her own fears and concerns to save her son.

Eliron is a vibrant, inquisitive, engaging almost 12-year-old boy with an infectious sense of humor and personality. He enjoys overnight summer camp, his friends, cello, reading, code ninja, hockey, diving into any topic for knowledge and his visits to extended family in Michigan.

Jessica, loves and nurtures Eliron. She encourages Eliron to grow and try new things and she has instilled good values in him. Jessica is a well respected paralegal who loves her job. She has great friends who enjoy family game nights, dinners with and without kiddos and Bingo nights. She taught Eliron to use his voice and now she's beginning to use her own.

It is important for Eliron and Jessica’s story to be shared and for the toxic culture and practices which has shaped the Arizona Department of Child Services to be stopped and re - written.
Jessicas mission is to ensure this happens. There are children in need of real help, Jessica and Elirons story has cost Arizona taxpayers hundreds of thousands of avoidable wasted dollars, and has put Jessica in huge debt with attorney fees.
I'll leave you with a quote from from Eliron from after he came home in 2020. He said "I think they were trying to get me to forget my life" Thats frightening!

I'm raising money to help with trauma therapy for Jessica and Eliron, lost wages and legal fees
If you feel moved to donate I sincerely appreciate it.
I also humbly ask you to share their story
