For those who don’t know me, my name is Sarah and in mid 2023 I was diagnosed with late stage 3/chronic Lyme Disease. This one bug gave me many other illnesses as well but I use Lyme disease as a blanket statement. I’ve been treating for over a year now and unfortunately have not seen any progress. Part of the problem is that insurance will not cover the treatments I need so I’ve really only been doing the bare minimum with the resources I have available. I tried to make a gofundme after my diagnosis last year, but was forced to take it down due to some… unsympathetic people in my life at that time. BUT if you need help, ya gotta ask. So, anything is something. If you can’t donate I ask just please share this fundraiser as many places as you can when I got sick last year I lost so much… my home, my job, my relationship at the time, one of my dogs, I had to move to a completely different state. Now I am trying to rebuild, back to working full time but still very ill. Mentally I’ve been doing somewhat better from having a supportive partner and loving family members. My goal is to enter 2025 feeling like my symptoms have at least lessened… and headed towards remission. There is a lot of misinformation out there about Lyme disease. Most think it’s treated with a month or so of antibiotics… that is only the case with stage 1, maybe stage 2. After that, chances are you have it for life unless you have crazy amazing genes and immune system.
