Burial Expenses for Audrey

Hi, my name is Kristie and I am helping to raise funds for my mother Audrey. On May 25th we received the news that Audrey's cancer that she had just beaten a year ago has now spread into her lungs making it stage 4 cancer, uncureable and has a prognosis of a year to year and half if the chemo helps. Going forward the goal will be quality of life. On June 5th she will start her first of four rounds of aggressive chemo receiving a round every three weeks.

10 years after losing her husband to cancer, Audrey was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer Small Cell Carcinoma. This is rectal cancer with characteristics of lung cancer which makes it an aggressive form of cancer. It is known to spread all over. There is less than a 1% chance of having this type of cancer in the location she has it. Being a grandmother to 9 grandchildren with 6 of them under the age of 14, she wants to make as many memories with them as possible.

During her original rounds of chemotherapy her body crashed, causing hospitalizations, special medicines and even a special diet that her body and taste spuds could tolerate. We are hopeful that she is now stronger and can withstand more so that she can enjoy life even with chemo. The money raised will go directly to help Audrey with things such as chemo, labs, doctors visits, travel expenses like gas and food, prescriptions and special diet if needed to support her doing these trying times.
