Fighting with Floyd
On March 29, 2017 Floyd (Daddy) went to his primary doctor with shortness of breath, weakness, and extreme fatigue. The doctor ordered some blood work and sent him home to wait for a referral to a hematologist. On Friday March 31, 2017 Dr. Anderson the hematologist called and told us to get him to the emergency room as soon as possible because he was critically anemic and needed blood. Once at the hospital they decided to admit him to run some test to try and figure out where the blood was going. He was admitted and given 2 units of blood and scheduled him to have an endoscopy on Saturday morning April 1,2017. They preformed the endoscopy and found no blooding. So they released him on Sunday April 2, 2017 and told him to keep his appointment on Wednesday with Dr. Anderson. On Wednesday April 5, 2017 we took him to his appointment where Dr. Anderson preformed a Bone marrow biopsy and told us he will be letting us know soon about the results. Thursday April 6, 2017 we received a call from Dr. Anderson telling us Floyd (Daddy) had Leukemia and we had to be in Dallas Friday April 7, 2017 to see Dr. Berryman and to pack our bags because he would be admitted to the hospital. So all 5 of us drove to Dallas to hear what Dr. Berryman had to tell us. Once Dr. Berryman came in he began to tell us that Floyd (Daddy) had Acute Leukemia and that he had both AML and ALL forms, so they would be admitting him for at least 21 days but it could be longer. They then sent us over to the T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital were they gave him another unit of blood. On Saturday April 8, 2017 they put in a central line and began a 24/7 chemo infusion. That brings us to today. He has been off Chemo now for 4 days and will have another Bone marrow biopsy on Friday April 21, 2017 to see if the chemo worked or if they will have to give him another round.
With everything going on of course Floyd (Daddy) hasn't been able to work and at this point we are unsure when he will be able to return and as everyone knows the bills don't stop just because your not working. So we are asking if anyone would like to help out that would be great and if not your prayers are greatly appreciate.
Thank you, The Wyatt Family
