Fighting with Katelyn Vinson

Hi, my name is Danielle and I'm fundraising for my 21-year-old cousin Katelyn Vinson. On December 30th, 2022, Katelyn was officially diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma Cancer. She was informed that it had spread further, and at the time she had 10 masses in her brain and 5 throughout her body, being a total of 15 masses. Katelyn lost the ability to close her eyes, move her eyebrows, and she is unable to show her teeth/smile. She was also unable to walk on her own due to the pressure on her cerebellum. On January 3rd Katelyn went through surgery to remove one of the larger masses in her brain on her cerebellum that was affecting her the most. Coming out of surgery Katelyn was in a lot of pain. On January 4th she was starting to walk a little on her own. Katelyn will still have to go through radiation and chemo to (as we hope) become cancer free!!. Despite being diagnosed with cancer, Katelyn has always had the best personality. She loves to paint, cook new things, work out, and take care of her two little kids (her cats). Katelyn is a very family-oriented person, she has 3 brothers and 2 very loving parents. She currently lives in Virginia with her fiance (Tyler Carter) but all of her family lives in South Carolina. Due to her diagnosis, she is currently hospitalized. Your donation will go towards her current medical bills along with more to come. It will also go towards her family as traveling expenses to be able to go back and forth from South Carolina to Virginia while she is in the hospital. We do not have a goal but every little thing counts! Please keep her in your prayers.
