Fighting With Kayla

Hi everyone,
It’s hard to sit here and write yet another post about what’s going on but here it goes.
As many of you know my niece Kayla Spero of farmingville was diagnosed in late July 2018 with metastatic osteosarcoma- 3 tumors on her left knee, a tumor on her right hip and some spots on her lungs. She went through several months of chemo at Stonybrook Medical Center which unfortunately did not work well. In October 2018 she had a rotationplasty ( google the procedure it’s fascinating ) on her left leg in which she will be receiving a prosthetic and lots of rehab shortly.
The latest scans which were completed in the past few days have not been the greatest, the tumor on her right hip has grew and she has new tumors on her back, pelvis and breast bone in addition to her lungs.
She will be undergoing a full hip replacement on her right leg next week and her treatment plan is being adjusted to a much higher standard. We are being positive and hopeful that this new treatment plan will be exactly what’s needed to kick this cancers ass out of her body!
Kayla has remained positive and upbeat with the most amazing smile on her face. Any contribution to help the Spero family would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for continuing to keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

please stay tuned for an additional fundraiser that will be organized for April
