Our best friends 4 year old daughter, Amillia, is battling inoperable brain cancer. Amillia was diagnosed with DIPG just before she turned 4 and is a beautiful little girl who is SO full of life. Her parents took her in for a routine check up when they realized her balance and depth perception had significantly gotten worse over the past week. After hearing the signs and symptoms, Amillia’s pediatrician recommended they take her straight to their local Children’s Hospital where they performed an MRI. The results of the MRI were what no parent ever wants to hear. Amillia has a large tumor in her brain and where the tumor is, is inoperable, but the neurosurgeon decided it would be best to take her back into surgery to place a shunt to relieve some of the pressure off of her brain. They are unsure of the next step but David, Amillia’s dad is having to take some time off of work as a firefighter to help be there for Meagan and their son Danny. I have their permission to start an have their permission to start this GoFundMe to help with any out of pocket medical expenses and to help them while Amillia is on the road to recovery.
