Fighting Rosalind Gardner's Cancer

Donation protected
Today is the birthday of one of my BFF's...Rosalind Gardner. Happy Birthday Rosy!!!

Yes, Ros' birthday is the day after my father's birthday so you know that she holds a special place in my heart. I love her very much. She was one of the first people that I met when I moved to California. She greeted me when I started work..."Hi! My name is Rosalind. Who are you?".

We bought our first house together. We ate out together...a lot. (Some called us the Styrofoam queens.) We went to grad school together. We partied together. We vacationed together. She was the matron of honor in my wedding and I was the maid of honor in hers. Henry and I are the God-parents of her triplets. The list can go on and on.

Years have past and Ros is now living in Delaware. The triplets, Sydney Gardner, Jonathan Gardner and Joslyn Gardner. started college last year. And George is holding things down. Although I am a bit phone challenged, Ros and I still communicate frequently. I visit my dear friends almost every time I am on the east coast. I so wish that we lived closer. But that was not been God's plan for this time in our lives.

Ros' visits to Cali have become very infrequent. One reason was due to the scheduling and financial challenges associated with raising triplets. But for the last two years, my dear friend has had the battle of her life. Two weeks after Henry was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, Ros told me that she had ovarian cancer. My heart dropped! Initially, she responded very well to her cancer treatment. However, the last year has been a real struggle. She is actually going in today to start another type of chemo in hopes of having better results.

So as I thought about Ros, I asked what is the best thing that I can give her for her birthday. Of course prayer came to mind. But not just my prayers. I am asking that you join me. Please pray for Ros' complete healing. Please pray that this new chemo is effective and that it removes all of the cancer in Ros' body...quickly. I am also going to start a GoFundme account as Ros has not been able to work for at least two years. Please support the fund if you can.

So Happy Birthday My Dear, Dear Friend Rosalind Gardner!!! Enjoy yourself! May we celebrate many more together!
