We're trying to solve the mystery of where the Kinsky name actually came from by employing a genealogy expert having a proven track record of solving similar issues.
I think that one thing my mom would have wanted to know is the actual origin of the Kinsky line.
We have a lot of (in my opinion) speculative data, and it's time we consider hiring an expert to solve this mystery once and for all.
As we know, Uncle Dick did marvelous work with few resources and no training at a time when there was no internet, and we know he was able to identify other family lines within Ehmann, which was an incredible accomplishment, resulting in penultimate family gatherings both in 1997 and in 2000 which so many attended. Yet the Kinsky line--the family name so many members bore - eluded us.
I've reached out to and interviewed a person from a market leader called LegacyTree, based in Provo, UT. They boast record-management experts in many European countries. The cost for this project is estimated to be $5,600 given that we have a "dead end" which will require people to research physical church records in Germany--and despite the cost, I think obtaining hard facts will be well worth it. Using this GoFundMe, I'm giving an option for family members to contribute towards the goal. I'm contributing at least $500 towards the cause, so I'm only looking for $5,000 to start.
