The Newtown Community, located in the vicinity of Suva, Fiji surrounded by low-cost housing estates and squatter settlements and recognizes the importance of formal education and understands that it not only contributes to the holistic development of young people but it also provides an opportunity to raise God-fearing leaders.
Phase I now complete
Phase I of CMF College is now completed and more than 400 students have started classes for the new year school year of 2018. We extend our sincere appreciation to all donors who contributed through Futureproof towards the completion of the three-story classroom block. The students now enjoy classes in an environment that is conducive to learning and enhancing their education.
Children in this community are in danger of being drawn into a vicious cycle of inadequate education and abject poverty. We believe that education is the best weapon against poverty and when used well, can change lives.
Phase II - School Building Project
We are raising funds for Phase II to construct a three-story block to house special classrooms including a science laboratory and vocational-technical rooms.
Futureproof is appealing once again for your support and donations to help us complete this project before the end of the year. Your support through donations on this crowdfunding platform will enable students of CMF College to pursue both formal and non-formal education in the area of vocational and technical fields.
