Filby Primary School - Mr Wigg

Mr Wigg's last day at Filby Primary School as Headteacher will be on Thursday 30th November.

I have been actively involved in the school as Governor and Chair of Governors for the past three years. During this time I have worked closely with Mr Wigg and seen his hard work and passion for delivering the best educational outcomes for our children.

As a Governor (and as a parent) I would like to thank him for his contribution to our school and community. I know others feel likewise and no doubt are considering whether to purchase a leaving gift to show that appreciation. My proposal is that we pool our resources to purchase a very personal momento of his time at Filby Primary; I am suggesting a framed watercolour painting of the school. I know Filby will always be a special place to Mr Wigg as it is his first Headteacher role.

Due to the timescales I will need to arrange this quickly and therefore any contributions anyone would like to make would be appreciated. Please however do not feel any pressure to contribute as I understand everyone's finances are stretched at this time of year.

If we raise in excess of the amount required. I would propose that any extra is donated to the school via the PTA to fund resources for our children.
