Filipino Skater Julian Macaraeg's Olympic Journey

Donation protected

Help fund Short Track Speedskater Julian Macaraeg’s journey to the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games.

A resident of Queens and 2021 graduate of Msgr. McClancy Memorial High School in East Elmhurst NY, Julian is taking a gap year before attending college to pursue his dream of representing the Philippines at the 2022 Winter Olympics!

Skating for the Flushing Meadows Speedskating Club, Julian continues the heritage of world class skaters from NYC, and has benefited from training with other clubs in the Middle Atlantic Speedskating Association as well as in Utah and even Canada. Julian’s results in World Cup and Junior Olympics have proven him to be a strong competitor.

Julian’s road to the Olympics includes the expenses of full-time training as well as two major trips to attend four ISU World Cup events. This October he will travel to Beijing CHN and Nagoya JPN for World Cups 1 & 2 and in November to Debrecen HUN and Dordrecht NED for World Cups 3 & 4. All of these expenses will be added to the years of support and dedication Julian has already received from his family.

I would like to ask you if you could please help him and support his training and competition expenses. Any amount will definitely help Julian achieve his goals. It is not an easy route to go to the Winter Olympics, but to try and to be a part of it is already an incredible experience for him and an honor to be representing NYC, the northeast USA skating community and his country the Philippines.

Thank you for all your help and support.
