Fill CIMWI's Freezer with Fish!
Tax deductible
We need your help to fill CIMWI's freezer with fish!
Fish costs have doubled since last year!
We currently have 22 patients - - 6 Northern elephant seal pups, 15 California sea lion pups and 1 adult California sea lion. This is just the beginning of CIMWI’s “busy season!” Currently, we are feeding 60 pounds of fish a day and this will increase with each animal we rescue. As patients become healthier they eat an average of 10% of their body weight each day while in rehabilitation with CIMWI. A healthier pup will eat 5 pounds of fish and an adult will eat 15-20 pounds a day. The average cost to feed a patient in rehabilitation is $500. That’s a lot fish!
We need your help to cover the costs to fill our 40’ freezer container with fish this year. Our goal is to raise $45,000. We are extremely fortunate to have two corporate supporters jump start our GoFundMe Campaign! A huge shout out of gratitude to Nécessaire and The Trade Desk, Inc. who each donated $15,000. We are at 67% of our goal and need to raise the remaining $15,000! If you would like to help fill CIMWI’s freezer with fish, you can make a donation through this GoFundMe Campaign or mail a check to CIMWI (PO Box 4250, Santa Barbara, CA 93140).
We appreciate our CIMWI fans and are committed to doing all we can to give these marine mammals a second chance at life back in the wild!
