"Close call" executive produced by Felicia Kay is a short film based on a chapter in the drama romance/fiction novel "Remnants" written by Tameka E. Wesley.

Everything I do revolves around fulfilling my purpose reminding the world to love unconditionally hints at the name of my first novel “Remnants” a tale of two powerful immortal females and devoted lovers torn apart by jealousy and envy, reunited by faith. The messages in this story touch on unconditional love, forgiveness, redemption, and unity.

The short film revolves around chapter 21 close call where a love triangle takes a murderous turn. Julianne goes for a run in her attempt to escape her twin brothers whining about his lack of trust of their childhood associate Adrian. While on her jog she runs into Billy a senior and wrestling champ that despises her. She is determined to convince him to return to the wrestling team. Billy is a stubborn one and refuses to be a co-captain with a girl. Billy shows his dislike of Julianne by running away from her deeper into the woods where Julian reveals her love interest in Billy with a passionate kiss. In doing so he his hunted by Adrian a shapeshifting wolf enraged by jealousy.

Why is this fundraiser important to me?

Hello my name is Tameka Wesley founder of Live Learn Grow To Teach LLC where our motto is in our name. Our mission is to help others find their own path’s home. What do I mean by that exactly? Well let’s start with the big question we as humans have asked from the beginning. Why are we here? What is our purpose?

I stumbled through life asking those questions growing up I was hit from all sides of discrimination being from African descent, and a gay female on the spectrum I was and probably still is a walking target for hate, discrimination, racism and God shaming. In my search for my identity through the darkness of man I found my purpose, To Live Learn Grow To Teach others how to love and be loved through Christ.

Remind them to love one another regardless of their race, sex, age, gender sexual orientation etc. I found that despite what people think or believe I was made just the way God intended and I experienced unconditional love the moment I relieved this fact. I am driving to help others reach their spiritual Oasis by inspiring them to find their own path home to unconditional love. I have many different ideas and methods to reach the unreachable one of my favorites is through writing, rather it be through song, story, or poetry I find it to be more versatile and approachable.

Recognizing and accepting my unique traits was just the way for God to use me allowing me to see that everyone is different. I decided to make every method of reaching them to be just as diverse and unique. Allowing me to express our message in some of the most creative and dynamic ways. Eliminating the red tape and fully displaying the beauty in diversity.

I love every part of me unconditionally just as God intended.
