Final Arrangements for Hershel Jones

My name is Ryan Testerman. I worked with Hershel and through that found the friend and Brother that I never knew I needed. Hershel was the type of person that would literally do anything to help anyone that ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Unfortunately, Hershel’s time here on earth was cut short due to a tragic car accident on Friday 6/9/2023. I know that Hershel’s heart and soul were in the right place. He has without a doubt traded in the sorrows and troubles of this world for a spot singing in Heaven’s choir. Hershel leaves behind a beautiful loving family and a multitude of friends that thought the world of him. He was their caregiver, teacher, protector, and so much more. His family lives in Illinois where the family plot is located but he lived here in North Carolina with his wife and children. Hershel’s father is not doing well and his body may be taken there for the funeral. This and the coming funeral will undoubtedly hit the family hard financially when finances are the last thing that they need to think about. I am trying to help his wife Melissa and the rest of his family have a little less to work through as they begin to navigate their lives without the amazing man that was always there for all of us.
