Final Expenses for Troy and Brittany Landis

Troy Landis was, and always will be, the greatest person I've met. After his Diffuse Midline Glioma diagnosis and prognosis of only 9 months, troy took treatment by the horns.

He endured many rounds of radiation, many CarT rounds at Stanford, and a few chemo pills we thought would work. An organic diet, a sugar-free diet, heck even a keto diet.

He wanted to do it all because we were so sure he was going to be the first to beat this.

Unfortunately in September, we had to stop the treatment that was keeping the cancer at bay. It was helping it not to spread like wildfire, but it was spreading nonetheless. We came home to spend time with friends and family.

Troy fought to be here for as long as he could. I couldn't have been more proud of the man I married. His courage, bravery and warrior spirit never faltered.

On January 31st he woke up and was cognitively aware of his surroundings and nodding yes and no. Something he hadn't done in about a week.

I told him how much i loved him, i knew he loved me and that everything would be okay. This was just another bump in the road, once we got over this, he would walk and play guitar again.

On Feburary 1st at 3:15am Troy took his last breath. His transition was peaceful and painless. His mom and I held his hands and reiterated how extremely loved he is and always will be.

His breathing became very short and shallow until it just stopped.

i truly believe that Troy chose that day to let go. He decided he didnt want to be sick, he didnt want to hurt anymore.

He was surrounded by the people who loved him most and best.
