Getting SKINny-Skin Removal Surgery
Donation protected
My name is Kayla, I am 5’2 and I used to be 280lbs. My whole life I was overweight and unhealthy. I used to drink a lot of alcohol and smoke cigarettes regularly and the idea of working out made me cringe.
I started my weight loss journey a few years ago when I explored the idea of getting gastric bypass surgery. Although I qualified for the surgery, I decided I wanted to try to do it on my own through diet and exercise.
As you can imagine, I started off slow. I started to change the foods I ate and walking for 10-20 minutes on the treadmill a few times a week. Even this activity would cause me to be short of breath, but everyday I saw improvement.
As working out became part of my routine, I began to wake up at 5am to go to the gym, just so I could fit it in my schedule. I began to dedicate my whole life and my daily decisions to staying healthy and inspiring others to do the same.
After all of the struggling and determination, I am finally at my goal weight. I only have one hurdle left, and that is to get skin removal surgery. I had hoped I could continue working out and I wouldn’t need the surgery, but after consulting with some physicians, this is the last thing I need to do.
I am determined to reach this goal as I have gone too far to give up now. I’ve picked up extra jobs for when I’m not in my day job or in night classes. I am saving as much money as I can on my own.
I am asking that if you are inspired by my story and would like to be a part of my journey, please help me raise the money I need to complete my goal.
Every little bit will make a difference.
Thank You!
