Financial assistance for Sabboonaa Tafarraa

The government is currently HUNTING DOWN our beloved WBO solider and artist Sabboonaa Tafarraa, forcing him to be on the run without having a place to stay at or even cloth to change to so we come to you to stand by our artist who has given us his all and we urge you to please support him before his fate ends up like Hacee's.
The Oromo people are blessed with many great artists who often risk life and limb to be the voice of their people.
Artist Sabboonaa Tafarraa is no exception. As a young student in 2005, Sabboonaa joined the Oromo struggle after seeing the brutal and unjust killing of Oromo students, professors, and teachers. As Sabboonaa describes, he couldn’t begin to count the number of kids who he saw murdered by government forces so he knew at that point that he himself had been given a death sentence simply for because he’s Oromo. It was this that pushed Sabboonaa into the struggle. Sabboonaa was soon imprisoned for his revolutionary activities in the notorious Jatoo Leqan prison. It was there that Sabboonaa began singing to help get through the forced hard labor inflicted on the prisoners. In 2009 Sabboonaa was released from prison and he directly joined WBO in Horroo Guduruu, Wollega, Oromia. During his time in WBO, Sabboonaa was highly encouraged by his comrades to continue singing. Sabboonaa then pursued life as an artist more seriously and often moved between life as an artist and a rebel.
Some of Sabboonaa’s most recent songs can be found here (some originals were taken off YouTube):

As Sabboonaa still remains in Oromia, vowing to never leave his people, he remains in fear of what may happen to him for his dedication to doing the thing he loves: giving his beloved Oromo people inspiration, courage and hope during difficult times of the movement. He is currently in need of financial resources to continue his role in our struggle through his music and being the voice of our people. We are reaching out to the Oromo diaspora community to support our hero of the Oromo struggle, who is risking his life daily for the good of our nation, so that he can stay safe and continue his artistic work.
Through our cooperation with Wbo.jabeessaa, Every single dollar donated here will be sent to Sabboonaa and confirmation will be provided through a personal message from Sabboonaa himself on their Instagram page: @Wbo.Jabeessaa.
