Financial Assistance for the Rogers Family

Personal trainer at Anytime Fitness Mona Vale, I’m asking you all for some help for my beautiful client Allison & her family . I have had the privilege of training Allison through the last 6 months of her diagnosis to make her stronger to help avoid falls .

Allison has been fighting pancreatic cancer since September 2021, making her difficult journey now roughly 18 months long. These 18 months have been filled with complications and challenges: pancreatitis, edema, abscesses, loss of balance and mobility, countless trips to the hospital, tri-weekly palliative care visits from nurses, and anxiety-ridden visits to the icu amongst many others. The consequence of these complications means that the actual pancreatic cancer cannot be targeted for treatment and with the current state of her body, an operation would be deadly. Before her diagnosis Allison suffered for weeks away from her family in the icu, alone, because of COVID-19 restrictions. It was during this period the family found out just how severe the diagnosis was. The last 18 months have been filled with anxiety and doubt, yet throughout it all, Allison’s hope and strength has shone through like a beacon .

Her husband, Mark, is a tennis couch and spends every waking moment that he’s not working by his wife’s side in the hospital. Her daughter, Sarah, is a full time student at university and works part time as a tutor. Her son, Jake, is establishing his own business in Mudgee and FaceTimes her every chance he gets. Losing Allison’s income has put severe financial pressure on the family and Mark has had to try and recover her lost income by himself. Over the months it has steadily accumulated into a more and more severe problem, bringing additional stress and challenges upon the family.

I am requesting some help from our beautiful community to help support this amazing local NB family we all are so grateful for any support they can receive so Mark & the kids can focus on getting Alison through the good fight .
