Financial help after dog attack- The Turners

Hi, my name is Amanda and I’m the Grandma to Sophia And Allison.

On the night of May 27th, 2023 My 3year old granddaughter, Sophia was bit by a dog on her face which lead to a 12 hour hospital stay with a chance of being admitted longer due to the severity of the bite. Sophia had to get put under for about 40mins and many sitches including reconstructing her lip due to a piece of it missing and the other side of her lip being torn and hanging. Her eye ball was just millimeters away from being torn but thankfully just got under her eye lid. And she has some cuts all around her face. Sophia is unable to talk much right now, besides for a couple of words at a time but mostly communicates with head nods or nosies. She is unable to eat much and drinks from a syringe. Both girls (Allison & Sophia) will be starting Therapy to help them process what happened as Allison’s has nightmares of what happened and trouble understanding what has happened and Sophia is having trouble trusting her family dog and just overall the trauma she has to deal with. Money donated will go towards gas, food, bills and any other unexpected expenses. They have many appointments coming up and She has a long road of recovery ahead of her and I’m trying to help make that road easier for them. Due to the privacy of the family we will not being sharing any photos due to how bad the injuries are. Sophia is normally a happy go lucky girl who loves to talk, and is on the go. But now our Sophia is barely talking, doesn’t want people to look at her due to how she looks right now and struggling to eat and drink.
