Financial help for the Dennis Family

One of my dear friends is going to have to go through something that no family should have to endure without the love and support of others.

Staci and Tyson are amazing, hardworking, and loving parents of 4 children, ranging from 4 months to 15 years old.

Staci is a SUPER MOM by day, and a nurse by night. She has many roles in the hospital including ER and ICU nursing and shift supervisor. She works night shifts every weekend, often picking up extra shifts during the week to help support her family, while caring for her children all day long without childcare. She is an incredibly beautiful soul inside and out, putting everyone in her life before herself, especially her family. She would give the shirt off her back to ANYONE that needed it. In addition to her many family and career obligations, she will be heading back to school in the fall to pursue her dream of obtaining her FNP/ARNP. She is the nurse, mama, wife, and friend that I strive to be.

Tyson and Staci’s oldest son, Noa, is 15 year old. He is an avid wrestler and track athlete that is currently in the middle of high school. Noa was born with a congenital heart defect (CHD). Over the course of his life, he has had dozens of appointments to monitor and manage the CHD. Until now, his surgeons advised that they hold off on surgery to correct the defect, hoping to limit the chances of needing multiple procedures. While he has been bravely coping day by day, Noa is unfortunately now at a point where the CHD is affecting his everyday life. Due to these disruptions, his doctors have decided it is time to move forward with surgery to correct the defect. After many sleepless nights for Staci and Tyson and a lot of careful consideration, the surgery has been scheduled for 6 weeks from now.

I am starting this Go Fund Me to help offset some of the expenses they will be experiencing. The type of surgery that Noa needs is quite complicated, and is not offered at any local hospitals, so they will have to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for this procedure. They do have somewhere to stay, but will still have to cover other travel expenses so their whole family can be together to support each other during this time. They will also have to worry about the expenses for such a MAJOR surgery. Both Staci and Tyson will have to take time off work, which means they will miss out on income. A family like this should not have to worry about the finances during such a difficult and trying time- the only thing that they should have to worry about is being together as a family and supporting Noa as he goes through this life-changing event.

Adding to the stress of the situation, the hospital has informed them that only one family member is allowed in the hospital at a time (due to COVID-19). Can you imagine being on either side of that- sitting in the hospital ALONE FOR HOURS while your CHILD has major open heart surgery OR not being allowed in the hospital while your child/sibling is having a major surgery?

This really is just the beginning of their journey through this, as their 3rd child also has a congenital heart defect that will require everything  that Noa is currently experiencing.

Anything will help this incredible family- including donating, sharing this Go Fund Me, and sending prayers and good vibes their way!!
