Financial help for The Sones Family

Hi, my name is Felicia Sheets and I am starting this GoFundMe account for The Sones Family. This last year the Sones Family began an unexpected journey. They received a phone call before Christmas of 2021 that a birth mother was seeking an adoptive family for her son. The Sones Family was not a part of an adoption agency or the foster-to-adopt program so you can imagine the amazement of this phone call. On January 7th of 2022 they brought home a 6-month-old baby boy and began the adoption process.

Unfortunately, the process did not go as planned. This last year has brought on many court hearings and legal fees which has put this family in financial distress. With ongoing legal matters this process will not be completed and will be continued into 2023.

Camaron and Melissa had been trying to have a child of their own after they had their son Owen, and they struggled to be able to conceive. For years they prayed for a child to bless their lives, even Owen was actively praying for a brother or sister. So, as you can imagine, the news of a little boy needing a home was an answered prayer to this family. This little boy has blessed not only the Sones family, but their friends and church family as well.

The Sones Family had already gone through a rough year and needs your financial support and prayers. To date they owe approximately $11,000 and are projected to have more legal fees in the new year. They received notification that a substantial amount needs to be paid before the year ends.
