Road to Recovery Lisa & Jerry Knight

Hey y’all, I am setting up this gofundme for my step mom Lisa Knight and dad Jerry Knight Jr. Lisa has experienced a LOT since September 2023 she had a massive heart attack, rushed into surgery… several stints placed. Shortly after she suffered several mini strokes. After 57 days of being hospitalized 2+ hours from home she was finally discharged. She does need continuous care, she has a feeding tube still and is unable to talk and walk. She will need more PT OT and speech to help recover from her strokes. We are currently waiting still on Medicaid and disability to be approved. So care is costly as of now. Any funds raised will go to cover extra costs associated with her care! As of January 2024, we are still dealing with the chaos of disability and Medicaid. She does not have coverage nor is she receiving any money to help assist Daddy with her care. After another hospital stay in Columbia SC. They were able to find her a short term rehab. She received amazing care for a few weeks and as of today 2/27/24 she is home! She will continue with some type of therapy and is still waiting on disability and Medicaid at this time.
