Financial Support for Logan and Clara Charlet

My name is Emilie and I’m fundraising for my brother Logan Charlet and his wife Clara Charlet.

On November 14th Logan was taken to the ER due to unbearable pain and blood in the urine. ER tests found that his blood was abnormal with a very low platelet count. He was then transferred to Genesis East in Davenport. Logan’s platelets continued to drop. They were able to find a blood clot behind his eye. They pushed to get him transferred to OSF in Peoria as Genesis East doesn’t have the resources for the care he needs.

Logan was transferred to Peoria OSF to the ICU on Thursday night. He had a really good day on Friday so he was then transferred out of ICU to immediate care on Saturday. However his platelets continued to drop and he started feeling bad again.

What we do know is that Logan has Prothrombin Gene mutation, inflammation in his brain, blood clots behind his eye (which is affecting his vision), and low platelet count. The Doctors are still not sure if this is cancer or a disease. They have done over 70 tests since he’s been at OSF in Peoria. The Doctors say Logan’s case is rare and there’s not many like it. Logan is only 24 years old.

In case you don’t know Logan personally, he has the most kindest heart. He’s the most loving husband and loves his wife deeply. The best brother who would do anything for his sisters. He loves to joke around and he absolutely loves animals. He loves to skateboard, play drums, and loves to play Xbox with his friends.

Logan has been in the hospital for a week now and we have no idea when he will be able to come home. This gofund me will greatly help my brother and his wife and hopefully alleviate some of their stress. Money should be the last thing they need to worry about. They have no income right now since they can’t work and have no idea when they will be able to return to work.
