Financial Support for Miles' Medical Recovery

**UPDATE**
Thanks to so many of you, we have already reached our goal! Words cannot express how grateful we are to have such a caring and loving family and friends support network. We are truly overwhelmed by everyone's generosity.
We encourage our friends, family, and beautiful anonymous souls to continue sending their love and support for Miles's long journey to recovery.
In early September, our son, brother, and friend Miles became the victim of a horrific road rage crime. An eyewitness shared their account that an SUV intentionally accelerated into him, dragged him over 50 feet, and ran him over.
Miles is being cared for in the trauma ICU at RI hospital and needs your support. His injuries are extensive, and he has been placed in a medically induced coma while doctors mend his body. Seventeen of his ribs are broken, his lungs have collapsed, his skull is cracked, and his temple is fractured. His jaw is broken, and he currently has a slight brain bleed. The severity of his brain injuries is still being determined.
The fantastic team at Rhode Island hospital was able to save his foot, but large portions of his right leg are missing. He is breathing with the support of a ventilator and using a feeding tube.
The doctors have indicated that Miles will require years of rehabilitation.
Miles grew up in Little Compton. He graduated from Portsmouth high school, where he captained the Lacrosse team to the state championship. After high school, Miles attended Plymouth State University, where he graduated with a finance and accounting degree. He then became a student loan specialist working for the Federal Government. He has recently been driving for Lyft and living in Tiverton with his beloved Golden retriever Charlie.
Many of us enjoyed spending time with Miles on the ski slopes, helping him garden or gathering around the kitchen to cook a delicious meal. Ask Nancy: his specialty is Scallop St. Jacques every Mother’s Day.
Many friends and family have provided incredible support, and our family is forever grateful. With your financial support, Miles and our family will offset the cost of mounting medical expenses and prepare a legal team to ensure justice is served.
