Funeral Expenses for Juan Pimentel

Hi everyone my name is Lily Pimentel and I am the oldest of my siblings. I would like to start by saying The Pimentel Family would like to THANK every single person who has prayed for us, the outpouring of support is incredible, you all are amazing! We sincerely appreciate you all. No amount is too little and if you can’t contribute please keep praying, everything is appreciated.

Juan Pimentel is a father of 5, Lily (me), Juan Daniel, Abram, Jonathan, and Anthony. He is the primary breadwinner for his wife and small children and the backbone of our family. He came to the United States and has diligently worked his whole life to provide for his family, he has always taken great pride in taking care of all of us. Now it is our turn to take care of him, rally around him and lift him up.
Juan was diagnosed with Covid-19 in late January and by February had taken a turn for the worse, unable to breathe he was admitted to Hamilton Medical Center on February 1 and immediately started receiving oxygen. As his condition worsened, he was sent to Vanderbilt medical facilities on February 5 to receive a new treatment called ECMO, which acts as a Lung outside of the body, they are taking blood from his femoral artery, adding oxygen with the ECMO and pumping the oxygen rich blood back into his corroded artery. When he arrived at Vanderbilt Medical, he was transferred to intubated breathing support. He has been sedated since this therapy started.

We know God is good, and we can see him working in our lives daily. We are steadfast in our prayers for his full recovery.

I decided to set up this GoFundMe because so many of you have kindly reached out to help support us during this very difficult time. Juan’s wife is living in Mexico and due to the pandemic, they were solely relying on Juan’s income. We are trying to ensure financial stability for his wife, children, recovery and travel expenses for family to continue visiting him.

Juan Pimentel esposo de Ani y es padre de 5 hijos, Lily (yo), Juan Daniel, Abram, Jonathan, y Anthony. Él es el principal sostén de la familia, de su esposa y hijos. Ha trabajado diligentemente toda su vida para mantener a su familia. Siempre ha estado orgulloso de cuidar de todos nosotros. Ahora es nuestro turno de cuidar de él, reunirse alrededor de él y levantarlo.


Juan salió positivo con Covid-19 a finales de enero y en febrero había empeorado, incapaz de respirar fue al Hospital Hamilton Medical el 1 de febrero y comenzó inmediatamente a recibir oxígeno.

Cuando su condición empeoró, decidimos trasladarlo al médicas de Vanderbuilt el 5 de febrero para recibir un nuevo tratamiento ECMO, que actúa como un pulmón fuera del cuerpo, están sacando sangre de su arteria femoral, y bombeando la sangre oxigenada de vuelta a su arteria corroída. Cuando llegó a Vanderbilt Medical, fue intubado y puesto en un tubo de respiración. Ha sido sedado desde que comenzó esta terapia.

Sabemos que Dios es bueno, y podemos verlo trabajar en nuestras vidas diariamente. Somos firmes en nuestras oraciones por su recuperación.

He creado este GoFundMe porque muchos de ustedes han contactado amablemente para ayudarnos a apoyarnos en este momento tan difícil. La esposa de Juan vive en México y no está trabajando por la pandemia, dependía únicamente de los ingresos de Juan. Estamos tratando de garantizar la estabilidad financiera para su esposa, sus hijos y su recuperación.
